Monday morning and we're off and running. We hope you enjoyed the weekend. Today will be cool (59) downtown LA and cloudy with a chance of sprinkles. It's going to be nice. The rain cleanses the air and with the clouds today is going to be picture perfect.
The market opens up on surprising data showing existing home sales up 6.5 percent in December. Surprising, if you buy into the negative BS repeatedly being issued by the negative national press.
For example; last night on 60 Minutes, I learned that there will be no resolution of the Israeli - Palestinian issue. We saw the misery, first hand of a mid-western town on the effect of the DHL Shipping Company's closure... Didn't watch segment three... The point is: What's wrong with exposé's on positive stories? The "if it bleeds, it leads" mentality is not helping a shell shocked public deal with the day to day issues confronting them.
There's an old saying that comes to mind, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." I think a little Good News today, will go a long way.
