On Saturday January 24, 2009 a generous festive assemblage of North Mason Community supporters of the Boys and Girls Club gathered in the early morning at the Allyn Waterfront Park for the 14th annual Polar Plunge.

Our own Active Rain Blogger and Real Estate Associate, Josh Murphy, came outfitted to brave the frigid waters of Puget Sound.

Adorned in Windermere Blue tights, white boxer shorts, Windermere Blue Tee shirt, goggles and black bow tie and finished with a long white cape, Josh "Windermere Man" Murphy prepared to his place along the pebbly shoreline.

Josh"Windermere Man"Murphy, with the strength of mind of a veteran Plunger, ambled into the glacial waters with stoic demeanor.

Polar Plunge

Having completed his Community obligation and raising funds for the Boys and Girls Club, Josh "Windermere Man" Murphy bravely announced - "That was Cold as *&%$ Dude"!

I and my staff want to thank Josh "Windermere man" and all the other brave, insane and certifiables for their support of the Boys and Girls Club and look forward to their return to the Next Polar Plunge.

That is great....in February we have a Polar Bear Plunge to raise money for the Spacial Olympics here in Geneva.......I not sure of your temperature but Lake Erie in Feb is usually just above freezing....Glad you guys raised money for such a good cause and had fun doing it....peace zane

To the others who left a comment... To witness the slightly nutty men, women and children who plunge into the Frigid Bay with outside temperatures at freezing...Took the breath out of the observers...we were the sissies. A Successful Fund Raiser for the B&G Club.
