I wanted to write this post because I have been a scarce presence on Active Rain since late December. It is important to let the followers and occasional readers of my Active Rain blog know that I am not gone nor am I leaving Active Rain. I am happy to say that I have been extremely busy in both my personal and professional life; and yes this is a very good thing.
First the personal, I was in Hawaii for a little over a week for my youngest brother, David's wedding. If you have seen my last three Wordless Wednesday posts, you have seen three images of the big island, Kona. If not and you would like to see the photos simply click HERE, HERE, and HERE! I am ecstatic for my brother and his beautiful and smart wife Brittany to be beginning their life together. As they are both just excellent people I am sure that they will have a long and loving life together. The photo to the left is them at their wedding.
Second, business has been quite brisk. I wrote a post today entitled The Good News! on one of my Rich Talks Real Estate blog that I am dedicating much of my internet time to. As a mortgage professional, I am seeing an upswing in mortgage business in the past six weeks because, I believe, of the very things I mention in that article. On another business front the several of my joint ventures with Danny Thornton have been steadily increasing in business. Our R & D Art website which is geared at building, hosting, and technical support of websites and blogsites has really taken off. You can see a couple examples of our work: Upstate S.C. Today and Oregon Real Estate Queen; there are more examples linked to from the R & D Art homepage. And now, beginning on February 2, 2009 we will be offering classes on a wide range of subjects from basic HTML scripting to the effective use of various social medias. In addition both our Positive Real Estate Professionals website and Athletic Alley website are really growing in terms of both unique visitors and views. The Alexa rank dropping quickly and the Google Page Rank increasing are a direct result of our contributing writers' efforts as well as our own. And finally we have a couple more major projects in the works as well.
With all that said I have made a conscious decision to lessen the amount of time and effort I dedicate to my Active Rain blog. I do still plan to contribute articles to my Active Rain blog just not as often as I had been. I find that I am having better results with my efforts outside the Rain; though I fully understand and appreciate this may not be the case for everyone. I will be doing what works best for me. Please feel free to read the posts on my other blogs or look for my updates on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Stumble Upon, and Reddit.
I hear you. I've been really busy too.
