I am in the process on buying life insurance for my family and my self. It is a real tough issue with me thinking about death. As a young person we really don't think about life insurance or death for that matter. About 2 years ago I was injured in a motor cycle accident. I broke my leg and it really messed me up for about a year. After that I started thinking about dieing and what would happen to my kids if something happened to me or my wife. So this winter we decided to look into getting some life insurance for us and the kids.

Now I priced a policy with someone I know locally. I thought wow those sound like good rates to me. Not. I was blown away when another agent was able to quote me a bigger policy with a reputable company for less. It also included a disability waiver which means if any of us become disabled it makes the payment on our policy for us as long as we are disabled.

So after long thought and contemplation We are going ahead with the purchase of term policies for my wife my 2 kids and myself.

It really never crosses your mind about life insurance and such until something happens to you that could have very easily snuffed you out. I think now it is important. I hope this helped someone else with their dilemma on whether to buy insurance or not. I would strongly recommend that you get some. The earlier the better because the younger you are the cheaper it is.
