Cary Ranked One of the Safest Cities (Again)

Cary once again makes the news for being one of the safest cities in the nation. The Town of Cary has been named the 3^rd safest with populations between 100,000 and 499,999 according to CQ Press in their annual crime rankings. In 2007, Cary was ranked the 4^th safest in the same category.

Once again Cary is also the highest-ranked municipality in North Carolina and the Southeastern Region. The Town of Cary has held this distinction for ten years in a row now. Amongst all the areas ranked, Cary was the 15^th safest overall in the report.

Sheldon & Leander - Thanks for the comments, I always love your blogs. It is a very nice and quiet place to live, and we have Raleigh and Durham next door for lots more to do.

Bill - It does help with sales, safety is one reason that Cary real estate has remained desireable and stable. We have many people relocate here because of our safety rankings, quality of life and employment opportunities.

Randy - The PhD is in Genetics actually, so not very relevant to the mortgage industry. The analytical and quantitative aspects do help when analyzing financing options and making recommendations though. I went into the mortgage industry in 2002 to learn more about finance and business and found I loved working with home buyers. :)
