If there are any egomaniacs out there reading this that think that they are entirely self made and successful without the help and assistance of the rest of the people in their SOI,
they need to stop reading this RIGHT NOW...and move on to another post...or read the Book of Job in the Old Testament...!!!
Everything we have is GIFT...
Gift, from a generous maker, not any government distributing entitlements willy nilly...
Yes, we earn the fruits of our labors and learn to establish a budget and instill self control in our lives...but not without the Blessings of a generous God...
Each one of us, by virtue of our existence, has equal dignity, but to whom more has been given, more will be expected...
And so, our God given assets of Time, Talent, and Treasure are to be used to advance the kingdom of God...to spread love to places it seems not to exist...
Literally and in great measure we need to distribute, as good stewards, our Time, Talent, and Treasure...
It is not good enough that we tithe...for remember the 10% that we tithe comes from the 100% that He has given us...we need to tithe our time as well...
Our talent comes from efforts we have made to develop particular skills either through schooling, instruction, or life's work, but these skills are given to us to be shared...!!!
The money, savings, and wealth that are accumulated were not 'lent' to us to be hoarded or stashed away or buried...it too is meant to be shared or used to advance God's kingdom...
Does God really need us to do His work on earth...
NO, but he has chosen us to participate in His great work of LIFE, and looks to us to become dependable stewards of the Bank of Heaven from which all treasures flow...!!!

"Everything we have is a gift"
Take it from someone who has been to hell and back, your words ring with the truth.
Fran, as always, you give us plenty to ponder. And as far as The money, savings, and wealth that are accumulated were not 'lent' to us to be hoarded or stashed away or buried...it too is meant to be shared or used to advance God's kingdom... we must keep in mind that's why we can't take it with us. So YES, share!
Very intriguing post. We must attend very similar Churches, as they preach these 3 T's as well. There is truly only one governing this land, and he doesn't reside in Washington D.C.
Ed: Glad you stopped by...I hear you're doing well!!! You'll have to write a post for your AR friends who haven't forgotten you...!!! :)
Kat: Yes, stewards, all of us...!!! :)
Thanks, Fran
David,
Oh, I'm sure he visits Washington, D.C. frequently...He always dined with sinners...!!! LOL, Thanks, Fran
Fran,
Great post, and another humble reminder. We are given so many gifts and blessings, and we know where it all comes from. Time (why do we waste it), Talent (fortunate we are to be able to help others with it), and Treasure (piled high to give away). Yep we are blessed.

Gary,
Nice comment!!! Thanks, Fran
Hi Fran: Excellent post; it really is true that everything we have from our money to our talents is a gift from God and we should be using those gifts He's given us to further His kingdom. One of my goals this year is to give more of my time in doing service work for Him. Thank you for writing this!
Have a great day,
Anne Rains
Anne,
Anne Reigns...!!! Thanks, Fran
Fran,
Too many people live for the accumulation of worldly possessions than one day disaster strikes and suddenly they have nothing. When you live for God no matter what happens you will always be rich.
Hugh,
Well said, my friend!!! Thanks, Fran
Time, Talents and Treasures are three beats of the heart, but giving from your heart is the greatest gift of all, and the charity that god gifts to us.
Thought provoking indeed, Fran...Great Post...Shawn
Nice post Fran, Good reminder that As followers of Christ we should strive to one hear one sentence from God, "Well done my good and faithful servant"
Shawn: God loves a cheerful giver...!!! :)
Sharon & Greg: Music to a Christian's ears...!!! :)
