I don't know if it's just too cold, but I couldn't get a clear photo of the ice on the trees this morning.

Two very beautiful photos but I must say I prefer the fall one. And I'm sure I'd like the fall weather better too!

Rich, me too! Spring and fall are my favorite seasons. Both have incredible weather it's like the earth is waking up in April and getting ready for a nap in November!

Debbie, It's icy here, too :(  I think I've had more then enough of bad weather for this winter...and next!

ME too Carole! And we've hardly had any bad weather, winter is my least favorite season. Hope you don't get too much snow from this latest storm.

Dear Debbie,

We are so blessed to live in such a beautiful place with 4 seasons!  Your pictures were delightful! I think we received a bit too much of Arctic winter this year!

Thanks for your comments on my post.  I guess both the local and national media only thrive on gloom and doom! A lot of my post was tongue-in-cheek! I did not plan an open house. I did not place an ad. Frankly, I don't care about the Super Bowl!

I will be available for appointments, but I am not scheduling "iffy" activities.

Have a great weekend. I hope your team wins. Who is playing?

Barbara, we chose well, didn't we? I love this part of Virginia.

Sadly, my team the New England Patriots didn't make the playoffs even with an 11-5 record so I don't have a dog in this hunt. I'm just there for the food and fellowship!

Have a great day Barbara!

Debbie: How beautiful...both of them! Your area reminds me so much of Blue Ridge...We don't have nearly as much icy weather, tho, and I have to say, that suits me just fine! We are blessed to live in such beautiful parts of the country!

That winter shot is ICY!  We have a ton of ice around here.  I needed more salt for my skating rink of a driveway - had to go to SIX stores to find some!

Ruthmarie, the ice is bad. My mom lives in a condo with a lot of retirees and the walks were dangerous, covered in a layer of ice. Fortunately, the temps rise quickly andeverything melted. I can imagine everything sells out quickly in Westchester. Stay safe!

Your seasonal shots remind me of when I used to live in such a wooded area that I so loved for the views from my tall uncovered windows that framed the scenes.

Hi Deborah! We're fortunate that we built our home and were able to save trees where other builders just came in and cleared the lots around us. I love the colors of leaves in fall.

Same here Deb. It is cheaper, faster to level everything - I appreciate the control of conserving some of the natural elements. It could take years and we still wouldn't achieve the degree of beauty that nature does.

That's right. Deborah.....we had neighbors who were irritated that we were keepin the trees, (beautiful dogwoods???), because their lots were bare. It would take fifty years before some of their ornamental trees would be as mature as the ones we have.
