I never was a book work till I got into real Estate.  Now I am hooked and loving it.  I am actually addicted to reading now -- which if you knew me in high school you would be COMPLETELY shocked.  Some books that I have read that I like are;

1. Real Estate The Rome Way by Margaret Rome-- what she has to say in her book for her real estate career gave me some great ideas that I am implementing today.  Tag line and elevator pitch are just some of what I picked up and focused on in her book, and today my tag line is what my broker and President of Remax Select Realty say are gon to make me a top agent.  Do yourself a favor and just get the damn book-- you adapt what you read then you will thank me and Margaret Rome.

2. Real Estate Presentations that make Millions by Jim Remley-- This book is a must for anyone looking to turn up their listing presentations.  I am in the process of reading it and getting alot out of it.  Listings are the name of the game and I dont care how good you are, you can always get better.  I feel you should get this book also.

3. 1,200 Great Sales Tips by NAR-- This book as you can tell is by the NAR which got all their info by experienced SUCCESSFUL agents that have been there and done that.  It was published in 2007, so its up to date.  So Im telling you that you should have this book also.

I have others that I am highly interested in, but my top 3 will do for now.

It all comes down to actually reading the books your purchase and go more into reading them-- you HAVE to pay attention and learn from them.

All my books, I first get the spine cut off and have them spiraled- so I can open it all the way up, I do this so I can high light everything that I like and so I can write notes here and there and not have to fight the spine of the book not allowing me to open the book all the way around.  If you like the idea of getting the book spiraled, its about $5.00 and VERY beneficial.

You apply the aspect of what you learn and there is NO stopping you in what you can/will make in this business.

Steve,

Thanks for reminding me of the benefits of highlighting and getting the book spiraled.  Years ago I used to do that regularly, but got out of the habit.

Like you I am also getting back into reading which can be addicting, but tonight it's time to watch the Steelers win the Super Bowl.  GO STEELERS!!!!

I am trying to become a READER --- I just have to take time to do it for myself - thanks!

Norma,

I made myself a reader.  Watching tv was not making me money or increasing my knowledge buy any means.  I make myself read a little in the morning and at LEAST 30 minutes before bed- I like that the most cause what I read I can contemplate and let my mind wander while drifting off to bed.  The funny thing is that when doing that, your conscience mind works in your favor of what you thought about while going to bed.

I hope that you make reading a " have to" in you life.
