Hey Rudy, of course the Trulia side looks better.
Here's some questions for you though...and I'm not knocking Trulia, just genuine questions because I don't know...
R.com gets all the listngs from all the MLS's and they get them automatically with approximately a 48 hour lag behind the local MLS. How does Trulia compare? What percentage of national listings would you say are on Trulia?
What about accuracy? How is Trulia kept up to date? I hate it when clients call me about a posting on Craigslist (not comparing Trulia to them, just making a point) and I tell them, yet again, that they should be looking at the listings I'm pulling for them and not the trash they are finding on Craigslist.
I gave up paying the Realtor.com premiums when I saw they were getting me NOTHING. Just poorer each month. I cringe when I think of how much I wasted on them as a new agent.
Good questions. We have relationships with many MLSs, Brokers and agents nationwide are always adding more. Listings can be submited to us in multiple ways - see here. Listings we receive via feed are updated every day and the data within the feed is updated on the site accordingly.
Our coverage depends on the metro and city, but currently, we have anywhere from 70-90% coverage for existing homes - and growing. We also have listings that the MLS doesn’t have, specifically new home developments and foreclosures.
