Coaching in the Rain

By
Real Estate Agent with Alain Pinel BRE 01367196

Since I started on ClubNet with Buffini and Company (Working by Referral) I've had 4 coaches.

Okay, stop the snickering. I'm really not uncoachable. But there were personal challenges, not just for me, but for my coaches as well.

Each time, I've told my coach (at that time) to drop in on Active Rain. And surprisingly, none of them knew about it.

So today, when I learned that my 4th coach is no longer with the company, I told Karen Dorney, Master Coach, about Active Rain, and asked her to check it out, especially the Buffini group on Active Rain.

Interestingly enough, they are always looking for ways to improve communications, networking, etc. so this may just be the place.

I gave her the link to this group, and I certainly hope she --- or my next coach --- will stop by.

Folks, if you haven't told, or invited your coach to join Active Rain yet, you may want to do so. Let's spread the good word, and live the good life!

Pacita,

I have been really contemplating hiring a coach.  Do you have one for fresh ideas, or more for a mentor/accountability partner?

Hi, I'm curious how you created the links to your webpage in your blog.  I'm new to this forum.  While I've been making a pretty good go if all, I just realized when reading your blog that I don't think I'm getting active linking with my website.  Your help would be much appreciated.

Jen -- all of the above. I also look to my coach for inspiration. Each of the coaches had something to contribute. But the most important thing they do is to hold me accountable for the goals I've set for myself and the action items I need to do to achieve those goals.

Matthew --- when you blog or comment, just above the box where you type are the following icons

  • Chain - to create a link to specific words (and the broken chain, to un-link). To link a word or phrase on your blog, highlight those words, then click on the chain. A window will open up, and that's where you will paste the URL of the site you wnat to link to those words. In this case, when I highlighted "Buffini and Company" I clicked on the chain, then entered the URL for www.BuffiniAndCompany.
    • Also, when you start posting, you will see two choices: WSIWYG (What you see is what you get), and HTML. If you know how to do html, great.
    • But the best thing to do is to visit the group called http://activerain.com/groups/newbies. That's the best place to start
  • Tree - if you want to insert a picture, you click on that link
  • Movie reel -- to upload a video

Connie -- now, I'm giggling. So I'm not the only one either, eh?

Very cute photo --- does he do Excel? All the best. And some say you can't teach a dog new tricks.

Pacita,

Thank you for sharing!  I could really use someone to hold me accountable!!!  Especially lately when the high temp is lucky to get above zero!  It makes just getting out of a warm bed a goal for the day!LOL

Bob and Carolin--- you talkin' to this old dog, or the one in the picture? :)

Jen --- yep. Having a dog shoving her face into yours first thing in the morning, telling you she has to go out, will shock you into accountability.

Gena --- yep. Dogs can teach us all some wonderful things.

Hi Pacita:

That photo is adorable.

I've heard a few people refer to their coaches...I think I'm motivated and driven enough, as it is.

Mike --- I wish I were more disciplined and resourceful that I can subsist on my own. But every now and then, I need to get jumpstarted in various ways. So what happened to your coaching network where you actually met in person?

Toula --- this is how I have justified having a coach. Whenever we see a successful team achieve its goal, as in the case of the Super Bowl teams, much of the success is based on how the players are coached. So there must be some value in that.

Pacita, Brian Buffini knows about Active Rain.  I asked for his permission before I began this blog, years ago.  Most of the staff and Coaches do, as well. The Coaches cannot post or interact on this site.  Just imagine, how would they then take care of their Clubnet Clients?

Keep at it!  There will be a Coach that will keep you ontrack.  I have had two,  My first Coach was for 5 years when I was a Clubnet Member.  When I changed to the Broker Coaching, I was given a new Coach, who I presently have.  Both have been outstanding for me.  Have you taken Buff's Mentor Course.  That may just be what you need to get you past the coaching principle.

Have you been to the Buffini Connect Member Site yet?  It is growing like crazy!  Check out my groups, we are having great success with them:)

Are you Blitzing?  The results are extremely good.

I love your comment about successful teams having coaches.  Of course, it is true!

It's a Good Life!

Frances

I remember you saying that you did get Brian's permission to start the group. But not all coaches know about it because none of the four coaches I had knew about it. Even if they don't post or interact, I think it's still a good idea for them to be aware of this network. And who knows, maybe they'll learn a thing or two.

And where is the Buffini Member Connect site --- on Active Rain, or Buffini and Company's site?

Thanks!

Robert, Thanks. So nice of you. I've invited so many people to Active Rain, and a few have joined --- probably "lurking" until they're comfortable enough to post something --- pretty much like the rest of us.

See you on the Community Site!  Are you BLITZING??
