Superbowl Sunday is just days away. A gorgeous day in Tampa is expected.

Superbowl sunday

Personally I'm not sure if I will actually watch the game: It should have been a Baltimore day, but it was not to be.  I would rather have my teeth filed than watch out biggest rivals win the coveted football trophy.(Fine, I admit, I am not a good sport!)

I will skip the game, but you had better believe I will be glued to the set for the most watched advertising smorgasborg of the year.

Each 30 second ad is costing a nominal fee of $3,000,000. There are still 4 slots available if you have some spare change and you would like the opportunity to advertise your business to the nation.

Wouldn't that kind of money bail out a bank or two?

Who will be the most popular this year?

Agree.

The commericals are usually pretty awesome and most often better than the game.

The cost is insane.  Interesting to see these big spenders.

The ads are always the best part.....I'm looking forward to a relaxing afternoon on the couch with lot's of snacks and funny commercials!

$3 million is just to get a spot, it's probably another $3 million to produce so add that in.  Don't know how many total spots there are but it would be interesting to know what the total dollar amount will be.

Maybe if we split the cost we can afford a spot. Crazy isn't it that people can actually spend that much on 1 ad spot?

My all time favorite SB commercial was when the guy was eating tobasco sauce and the mosquito was sucking his blood.  The mosquito started to fly away and exploded mid-air.  My Dad and I laughed so damn hard after watching that.

I am not a sports fan but I will check out the ads this year.  Interesting to see what companies will pick up the remaining spots.

If I had an extra 3 million hanging around, and I might, let me check under the sofa cushions, I probably wouldn't spend it on a 30 second spot!

Since the commercials during the Super Bowl have become "part of the game" I can see why they cost so much.

So sorry about the Ravens. I had picked them when the playoffs started to win the Super Bowl so I feel your pain.
