I survived my first ice storm

Real Estate Agent 0488515

Well I survived my first ice storm in Dallas.

I survived by not getting out of the house.  Having lived the majority of my life in the Houston area, I have never driven on icy roads before, and did not think yesterday should be my first experience.

The live TV coverate given to the storm reminded me of the live hurricane coverage we would get in Houston.

After watching the live coverage, I came to the conclusion I am never going to experience the thrill of driving on ice.

Fortunately for us here in Austin we don't have much of the icy stuff.  Occasionally yes.  When it happens the auto accident rate is unimaginably high.  I determined some years ago that its cheaper for me to stay home than fix my car or any hospital bills that could be incurred.  Smart choice to stay home Richard. :)  After all lots of online stuff to do and catch up on.

Hi Richard... Driving on ice is not a thrill... more of a terror.  I have never understood why people choose to go out when the roads are like that.  Is there anywhere that they have to be, that urgently, that it is worth risking thier lives?

We have more ice storms in NC than snow storms, although not many of either. This is why we shut down everything from schools and businesses and meetings. It's just too dangerous to drive.
