I read a blog on Active Rain recently regarding how blogging was the new phase in web-based information exchange, and how it was simply a different way to 'present and sort' data, listings, news, testimonials, etc. You will have to forgive me as I can't seem to find the agent's blog post, but it was really great!
This in turn got me thinking about the possibilities of blog integration, syndication, and the whole bevvy of recent web 2.0 style innovations that seem to be catching fire. It's no longer so much a question of 'pushing' property with aggressive print advertising, open house scheduling, and working the phones. It seems to have become more about strategically, and efficiently presenting information for potential buyers to 'find' online. Obviously this goes hand in hand with traffic driving and SEO specifics, but it also has a lot to do with the ease in which people can sort, discover, and process listing and market information globally.
Thus I sat down, and came up with a viable web-based strategy centred around a main 'hub' site through which all information is processed, and sorted via a number of 'neighbourhood specific' sub-sites. This project is geared towards being a 'catch-all' in regards to my targeted areas, a site which catches viable real estate information that applies to my current and potential clients, and sorts it in such a way they aren't overwhelmed since they are but a few clicks away from funneling the information into 'pockets' that apply directly to their neighbourhoods, and relevant market demographics.
Will it work? We're still very early in launch so it's hard to say what the ROMI will be, but I can say that assuming it's reasonable I will have saved expenses on various print and transit based campaigns.

Suggestions and comments are appreciated as are your referrals :)
