SW Missouri & NW Arkansas Ice Storm

The ice storm came in quickly and with vengeance on Monday evening. Many areas received up to 3/4 inch (possibly more) of ice from Monday evening through Thursday night. Personally, I still cannot leave my home. Actually, I can probably get out, just not back in. Our family has been very lucky in this situation. Our power has remained on. As of today there are still 314,000+ without electricity. That is a small city! They are hoping to have all the power on within 3 weeks. That is a long time to go without electricity. The temperatures have not been above freezing either. The nights are in the teens. We have some friends who are without power and they gathered snow and ice and boiled on their grill in order to sponge bathe. They are unable to get out of their home due to power lines and trees being down over their road. There has been severe damage to boat docks and homes as well from the ice and trees. We pray it is over soon and everything is back to normal.
