Showings, Stilettos & Snow

By
Real Estate Agent with J.Philip Real Estate

I actually mean Ice not snow but snow went better with the title.

So... Yesterday I had to accompany an agent to show one of my listings. This is the day after a huge ice storm.

She gets out of her car with Stilettos on. My Client drives by and sees this calls me on my cell telling me to refuse to let her in because he fears she will slip on the walkway.

Awkward!!! I mean come on now.... even I had snowboots on.

I had to tell My client (seller) that I would be responsible.

I just wonder if I was the client (buyer) would I buy a house from a girl with Stilettos on who was stating that they are better than boots because they serve as cleets? :)

Wow..... I just remembered when I was this girls age  I too would have had stilettos on :(

So anyway the moral of the story is Buyers are out there looking. Even in Icy conditions. Be prepared.

And Sellers havent changed much either.

If the guy was so concerned about people slipping on the ice he should have clearedand salted the way. All listings should be "stilleto friendly."
