Should I put my home on the market right now?

We are often asked if now is the time to put you house up for sale. In this challenging market many times the answer is "It depends"
But....if you have a 3-4 bedroom home between 1100 and 1900 sqft, north of Rt 1 in a neighborhood setting and it is is pretty good shape and you are willing to list it competitively in the low 200,000 to mid 300,000 range...this is were the major demand is.
You will benefit in 2 ways....first being able to sell your home in the hot segment of the local real estate market and second if you are planing to move up to a 2000+ sqft home in a nicer neighborhood and can spend in the high 300,000 to mid 400,000 you will have a large inventory of homes to select from and get a bargain. Many houses in this range are now very aggressively priced.
If you are looking to sell your home in Madison or Guilford (Clinton as well) and purchase a larger home...please give me a call. Our comprehensive marketing plan can position your home sale for success and our business approach can help you buy your new home.

Tom I agree this is a great time of the year to put a house on the market, buyers seem to come out after the holidays and you get a jump start on the Spring Market.
