Nothing is harder on a seller that keeping the home SHOW READY at all times. How many times have sellers received a call asking if it was OK to show and they just happen to be sitting right outside the property. Hey, it has happened to all of us at one time or another.

This is especially more difficult when there are children in the home. A strategy of mine is that I ask permission from the parents to come up with a reward system for the kids. Selling a home is stressful on all. Get the kids involved in the process and watch how cooperative and motivated they become.

After we have had a  showing while giving feedback to my sellers I ask if the kids were SHOW READY... beds made, toys picked up, etc. If the kids have done their part I bring by some COLD STONE COUPONS and spring for some ice cream, my treat!          

The majority of my clients have been extremely appreciative of this little bit of motivation for their little ones.
