Just got this e-mail today.    Seems like the scammers are keeping up with the news anyway!

Please be careful when giving out any personal information.

After the last annual calculations of your fiscal activity we have determined that
you are eligible to receive a Stimulus Payment.
Please submit the Stimulus Payment Online Form in order to process it.

A Stimulus Payment can be delayed for a variety of reasons.
For example submitting invalid records or applying after the deadline.

To submit your Stimulus Payment form, please download the attached document.

Note: If filing or preparation fees were deducted from your 2007 Refund or you
received a refund anticipation loan, you will be receiving a check instead of a
direct deposit.

Regards,
Internal Revenue Service

All the best!

Oh! I received that one too!  I wanred my teenager about that one - that's something that would definitely catch your eye.  Did you see the article about the justice department sending out a bogus email to see how well their employees could spot spam?  The article says the employees did not fair so well....

I keep getting one from the same "company" offering me a job...part of what I would have to do is collect payments and put them through my bank account...right then and there I stopped reading and deleted it. My momma didn't raise no fools!

There are stimulus scams everywhere it seems now.  Over on facebook ads pop up offering you "your $34,454 stimulus check - call now".

It is amazing, and I think with the economy worse, people will be more inventive.
