It's a Rainy Friday here in Minnesota, and only a week away from Fishing Opener!  If you are NOT a Minnesotan you may not understand the importance of Fishing Opener.  Tourism is a $10 Billion industry here in Minnesota, and Fishing Opener is the first hurrah!  With Millions of anglers loading there boats and heading to there favorite lakes in search of old Marble eyes. (The Walleye!)  So, I guess that is a long winded response, to my question! I will be spending my opening weekend on Rush lake in Chisago County!

I fish, therfore I am!

Although, last summer I picked up that goofy game where you walk around chasing a little white ball.

What do you do when not selling real estate?  Also!  Do you have your cell phone, off, or on when ejoying your favorite activity?

It seems as if I am always trying to sell real estate or doing some support work to improve my business. My wife gets upset with me for the amount of time I spend on the computer. I am trying to improve my website ranking.

I used to fish when I was a kid, but haven't done so in years. I like to watch movies and just vegetate in the evenings. The phone is always on!

My wife laughs at me and my dad. Earlier this year we started this ongoing joke. We took the kids fishing and his pole got left in my vehicle. We live 10 minutes apart. So he calls and say "It seems I left my pole in your truck and I would like it back" Next sunday can you drop it off to me...Wink Wink - I'll be a detroit lake - This is 4 hours away! So every time we go fishing we leave to pole in the others car, so we can do it again. We are leaving Sunday at 6am for yet another fishing destination to swap poles - lol

Hey Ron!  Nothing better than a nice day out fishing!  I don't know how many homes I have sold while out in my boat fishing!  (My wife affectioanely calls my boat "On an Appointment!")

Hey Micheal!  Thats the double edged sword of real estate, just try and remember HOW important time with family and friends are.  A good story, is a friend of mine had his first kid, He missed the birth because he was returning voice mails, Time is the most important commodity we have!

Hey Todd!  THAT is a GREAT story!  Stories like that are the reason I LOVE to fish!  Think of all the laughter and great stories from your fishing trips!

Hey Todd!  That is AWESOME!  I wish my wife Tracy had not read this blog!  I would use that Idea in a flash!!  Fishing.......Rain  and Snow in one trip!  I fished a tournament a few years ago where it was 78 one day, and by the ned of the weekend we got 6 inches of snow!

Fishing, hiking, hunting, gardening, cooking for others, especially baking & candies, reading, spending time with my teenagers, volunteer work.  Gee, when do I have time to sell homes?

Debbie! You took the words right out of my mouth!  I was thinking that VERY same thing when reading your response!!

Hi Cory and Tracy, I live and work in a resort and second home market, meaning that my business is selling a lifestyle.  I enjoy that goofy game of chasing the white ball, but also do a great deal of mountain biking and fly fishing in the summer and in the winter you can find me on the hill every weekday around lunch time.  I do keep my phone on me as I have been known to put deals together and enjoy my activities.  Lifestyle choices and Living the Dream!

Thanks Cory,

Sorry you had to let your wife see that, I would have gladly let you steal it in the name of fishing! - lol

Todd!  I think a trip to Oregon is in order for me!  We HAVE to go fishing!!

05/10/2007 09:56 AM by Cory & Tracy Frantzick (RE/MAX Associates Plus)

OK - Cory I do have to warn you though! I do call it fishing and not catching for a reason - lol

Todd

P.S. - The family and I in the next 3 years are planning to jump in the RV and hit every state in the lower 48. When we do that I will look you up and we can go fishing for the day. We can figure some way of you leaving your pole in my RV, giving you an excuse to come to Oregon to get it - lol

Todd!  I LOVE the way you think!!   I will get you into some walleyes, or maybe a muskie or too!

I think we should start a new group Fishing Realtors or somethiing like that!

I play hockey and golf.  I just this year started leaving my cell phone in my car at these time.  It is a must now, time away.  Otherwise I think my wife would divorce me!

Bill!  So VERY true!  I remember when I ALWAYS had my phone on and with me, I enjoy life more now when I turn it off when I am having time for me and my family.

05/10/2007 03:09 PM by Cory & Tracy Frantzick (RE/MAX Associates Plus)

NOOOO! When it is about someone else it is funny. When it is about yourself then it isn't. ROFL Why do you think I enjoy Americas funniest home videos? Someone elses pain is funny.

05/10/2007 03:16 PM by Todd Clark (Realtor), GRI (Washington Co, Beaverton Oregon) (Kastings & Associates, Beaverton Oregon Real Estate)

I have to say Todd, This one involves me and is pretty darn funny!  Last summer I was in a bass tournament, and I am fishing in the grossest, yuckiest, algae infested water.  When I caught a fish that was to small I seriously had to push it through the junk up to my elbows so it could find water.   Well anyhoo, our superstar pro fisherman guy (ME....Ya right!)  hooks a really really nice bass, I ham wrenching the fish trying to get it to the surgface, when "Snap" my line breaks, well I was pulling so hard that I ended up falling backwards out of my boat on my head in that green crap....The worst part, was there were two other boats from the tournament within 50 yards.......

05/10/2007 03:42 PM by Cory & Tracy Frantzick (RE/MAX Associates Plus)

Cory:

I too am a fanatical fisherman.  I live to Trout fish.  My spring is planned around the opening day of Trout season.

My wife becomes a fishing widow as I go out at EVERY opportunity.  I keep my cell phone on, but if the call isn't from my wife or kids, it has no chance of being answered.

I love to go to areas where no one else is fishing.  The solitude allows me to think and I have come up with some of my best marketing ideas while I was on the stream.

Todd!  Come on, spill it, I bet YOU of all fisherman have some hilarious stories!!

Steven You summed it up beautifully!  The solitude rechareges my batteries like nothing else in this world!

Typically, I would say I like to go out to nature and take photos. Photography is my gig. But because of the busi-ness that swarmed me and what seemed like depletion of energy these days, I just want to stay home and watch TV in bed......

Hubby with Motorcycle

Cory, prior to real estate I had a 15 handicap golfing.  Gave that up for real estate.  Now my husband and I ride our favorite toy.  With a group of over 40's called the RETREADS!

We get away every chance we get.

Kay!  That trike is AWESOME!!!   That is the only kind of bike I could ride....  Here is my cartoon bubble of me out on a "HAWG"  Cruising along....Loooking ooooh so cool...Come to a stop light and forget to put my feet out, and gravity takes over, and I can't get my "Hawg" off of me!!!  (True story....Or not???)

05/23/2007 10:22 AM by Cory & Tracy Frantzick (RE/MAX Associates Plus)

I spend all of my free summer time boating on Squam Lake (On Golden Pond)

and in winter its ice fishing or snow shoeing.

I also gave up golf for Home Inspecting, but taking up boating has been just as good!

always have my cell phone with me, even on vacation. I guess that I am a work-aholic

if you love your job, which I am lucky enough to say that, its ok working all the time
