So I have been trying to set up my facebook page and get it the way that I would like it to be, and I have noticed that I know a lot of people both in and out of the Real Estate industry.  This is a good thing, although I am thinking that I have joined too many things because my Blackberry never seems to quit buzzing with all the new emails generated from Facebook.  I am afraid that I will become too casual when that happens and may ignore something that is important, I mean that would directly generate income.

I still have a lot of people to find as friends, but now I am thinking that I should have set up one site for business and another for family and friends.  I know that the goal is to network among my sphere of influence, but at the same time I try to keep certain parts of my life away from my business life.  I know that everything in a person's life effects the way that they are, how they react or act in the first place.  There is a direct bearing on character, integrity, self worth, etc..

There are aspects that I freely share with family and friends that I don't wish to share with clients and people that I do business with.  I think that religion and politics come directly to mind.  I believe that everyone should have a strong belief in both areas, I also understand that these beliefs and opinions are paramount to one's character, but they are also private issues to be discussed with one's loved ones, not one's business associates.

I guess what I am getting at, besides the fact that it is late and I need more sleep, is that I am concerned that there is too much information going out on my personal side to people that I wish to do business with.  Does anyone else have any opinions? Concerns?  Ideas?

Anyway, probably just rambling too much.  Make it a great weekend!

Tony and Darcy

I am wondering if we are connected on Facebook? I know what you mean about the religion and politics; for each person we can gain it is easy to lose one.

Hoipe the snow is kinder to you.

Sincerely

Tom Braatz

If I was you I would just make 2 facebook account that way you can keep your business and personal life separate.  You can turn off most of those email notification as well under account setting and notifications.
