Hey Sandy, WOW how frustrating. Typically Realtors are egotistical (don't take that the wrong way). I don't know how mnay times agents avoid calls and emails, but when they need something, they need it NOW. lol
That really stinks about your buyers. I know it's hard to find qualified buyers in this market, let me know how it turns out. I'm sure there is going to be a good final chapter to this story :0)
JD
P.S. Do you deal with any short sales at all? If so, I would love to see if we can network and help grow eachothers business. Have an AWESOME day!
How frustrating! And, if you are like me, you are probably worried that your buyers think you can't get a showing scheduled and something is up. Let us know if you ever hear from the listing agent
Good Post. .I imagine all of us have had simnilar experiences. .
Morning Sandy,
Like you, we woke up to unfavorable temperatures this morning. The nice part is knowing they won't last long.
You sure went above and beyond in your attempts to show that listed property. Makes one wonder what the other property owners listed with that brokerage are experiencing.
With a start like this I would have to agree, the subsequent steps would all be downhill.
This is a growing problem here in Atlanta. Many agents cannot be reached, Active homes we are told are under contract and they sit for months and sometimes years. Agents need to leave the business that are not actively working real estate.
Hi Sandy-Some people just shouldn't be in real estate, They need to find a different profession because they are giving us a bad name.
Sandy, I can relate to this. I have showed up at some houses where it was still in the MLS yet it was a sold house with someone living in it. Some people can't do the basics.
Hi Sandy! I can see you are frustrated! and I don't blame you one bit!! This is a little off topic, but I have to tell you this story... I called buyers for 5 days straight...left messages, no phone call back! I was getting pretty irritated, so unfortunately, the last message was a little stern, guess what- she called back on the 6th day and APOLOGIZED _ BUT SHE HAD BEEN IN THE HOSPITAL!! I felt terrible! Talk about a paradigm shift!
File an ethics complaint, that is ridiculous to have such a listing in the system.
I agree it is terrible with the lack of response from some Realtors. How some people stay in businsees is beyond me. What I wonder is, why some agents try so hard to even get listings, and then one that can't even return a call seems to have no problem. It really is a strange situation.
Oh Sandy,
This really burns me up! I have experienced this same issue several times in the past.. Why is returning a phone call or email such a problem?? This would be why we rank under used car salesmen in ethical behavior... No offense to the car salesmen or other professional Realtors but it only takes a few to make everyone "BAD"...
Remind your buyer, the perfect house for them will be one they actually get to see!!
Take care and stay warm.... It is warmer in Missouri today than in Florida????

Elizabeth, This is incredibly frustrating and unprofessional!
Hi Lorraine and Loretta, We went to the house today, found an unlicensed vehicle in the driveway, but garbage out at the curb for garbage pickup. We rang the doorbell. And the buyers found another property they would like to make an offer on.
Hi Carol, This does give all of us a black eye.
Hi Stacey, You would think they were motivated, wouldn't you?
Hi Bert, Thanks for the wise words. They found another property and will be makig an offer. Try and stay warm.
Hi Kelly, I did get to wear my winter clothes today. And it is frustrating.
Hi Josh, Looks like they are interested in another property. There always is a final chapter.
Kristin, Oh our driveby, we determined that the roof was probably on it's last year or two and probably wouldn't qualify for the FHA loan program they were using.
Fernando, I am sure we have all had similiar experiences.
Hal, I agree, this is a sign of how difficult this property would be to get to closing.
Hi Jim, I hate to hear that this is a growing problem in different parts of the country.
Hi Pat, I agree, this does give us a bad name.
Hi Gary, I suppose that sometimes it's just going to happen - but we all know it shouldn't be.
Hi Mary, I suppose that sometimes you just never know, do you? She should certainly have someone covering for her if something were wrong.
James, I do agree that it is ridiculous to have such a listing in the system.
I agree that some of the things that some agents do just make no sense.
Hi Ann, I think they found the perfect house today. Great reminder!
Sandy,
And I am betting it was NOT this one! Congrats and great work!

Wow its sounds like it was warmer in KC than it was in Florida today that's gotta be a rarity. I woke up to a nice 60 degrees it actually hit 76 later in the day. Not that it means much it will probably snow tomorrow. Listings like this just frustrate me to no end. The only excuse for this lack of professionalism is being kidnapped. Seriously this house should be off of the market.
Hi Ann, You are 100% correct -it wasn't this house, as we never did get in. It was another one. Thanks for the congrats.
Justin, This house should be off the market, and maybe you're right, maybe she was kidnapped. You never know, do you?
Sandy,
I was glad to hear your buyers found another home.
The sun is out today in Toledo, Ohio. It's even warm enough that some of the snow is melting.
Have a good week.
Go Steelers ! ! !
Hey Bert, Thanks! They are tickled! So glad that the sun is out today and the snow is melting. Hope your Steelers win!
Sandy,
I knew you would find them a better one!

Hi Ann, If we're lucky then they do! Thanks for being a great friend to me here on AR.
Hey Sandy unfortunetly I think the state of the market could make almost any agent want to pack up their bags, shut off their phone and cry (lol). But good on you for trying that much to get in touch with the other agent.
There is a LOT of need for cohesion between Listing and Buyers agents right now, especially with all the exxttrraa work that is going into finding and closing deals...so much new territory still being figured out!
We work with a ton of agents to help them close their short sales, and we carry our listings to avoid this EXACT scenario...but I know how your situation can be frustrating. Hope your situation worked out!
PS It's about 70 here in Phoenix....can't complain! (Ducking from any flying objects being thrown) :)
Cheers,
