Hot Water Tank

Inspection of a Home Hot Water Tank (Part 3)

How is the Hot Water Tank

When inspecting this hot water tank it was also found that the temperature pressure relief valve drain line was routed so it would empty into the crawl space of the home. Water could very will accumulate in the crawl space if the valve should develop a leak. A qualified plumber should re-route the drain line so it drains outside.

Dale,

Good point on the TPR drain. Even plumbers often do not sweat that but it can lead to big problems over the years...especially if the TPR valve ever fails and starts leaking big time.

My Howdy

there Liz

I'm always real glad to have you stop by to visit, and have you leave a comment. On one of my post's, here at my little ole Blogging Homestead, my friend

My lady Deb told me about that there show, but I've not gotten around to taken a look at it. Carl and I sure would make a good team, thats for sure. But I don't think Hollywood is for eiyher of us. We are both already rich, just from haven good friends like yourself, and all the other AR family members we are friends with. The both of us are just down to earth countryboys. And get joy out of helping home buyers, to know what is going on with the home they are looking at to buy.

there Steven

I'm always glad to have ya stop in to visit, and leave a fine comment to read. On one of my post's, here at my little ole Blogging Homestead, my friend

Your right about that plumbers often don't sweat were the Temperature Pressure Relief Valve drain line, ends up emptying at. They don't look at the over all effect, of what can happen to the home. If it should start to leak. This is one of the reason's its so important, for good inspectors as our selves. To make sure our clients are well informed about whats going on with the home, they are looking at to buy.
