Well I'm going through looking for lead buyer's agent right now and that is not an easy thing to find!!!! Dont' get me wrong, it's easy to fill the position, but to get a great fit ....................now that's a different story. For a LEAD buyer's agent (the agent that's not only got to be great a working with buyers themselves, but that also has the ability to train, consult and hold accountable, your entire team of buyer's agents) you want someone that is great in their own right, but that is also open to working within the team environment. Agent by nature (most, not all) have an err of pride about them and can look at being a part of a team as a step back. Usually the person that's looking to be on a team, is someone that's not doing to good on their own and they may or may not be someone that you're looking to go into business with. But to find someone that's doing OK on their own, but can see the benefits of how narrowing and getting laser focused on one aspect of can actually take them farther that trudging it out on their own, is a much harder thing to do than just to fill a position with any ol body.
I'm actually going to go through the buyers agents that I've closed deals with and that where great co-op agents and start asking if they'd have any interest in discussing the possibilities. I want to find that person that hadn't really thought about it before but that is open minded enough to see the possibilities.
I've got to get someone soon, I can't keep up with buyer leads that I'm getting as is and it seem to get worst and worst everyday.
