I am proud of the effort put forth in my latest "under contract". I worked really hard to make absolutely certain this home was at the fore front of every Realtor's, purchaser's, and prospective purchaser's mind.

At the onset my sellers and I both knew it would take about 9-12 months, based on market data, to reach our goal. It has been exactly 8 months.

This couple found me through a Localism Post. They contacted me and asked me to list their home. There was no awkward first-time meeting, no doubt about my professionalism, and actually no question as to whether or not I had the listing. I didn't present them with my usual listing presentation or my portfolio of testimonials.

They asked for my advice and counsel, and followed every suggestion. It was, for lack of a better word, a partnership.

They trusted me, they believed in me, and they allowed me to do my job. This confidence all stemmed from a post I had written one early Sunday morning.

After all the paperwork was done, my sellers and I enjoyed a cup of coffee in their beautiful home as we have done so many times before. We talked about their upcoming purchase (which I referred to an agent from ACTIVE RAIN in Port Lucie, FL), and how much fun we have had during this entire process.

I am going to miss them. I am really going to miss them.

As I was leaving, I told them thank-you for allowing me the opportunity to represent them.

I made a joke about reasons why they may have chosen me. I asked them if it was the alphabet soup that follows my name, my ability to catch a fish on any given day, or maybe my extensive knowledge of sometimes pointless factoids.

Their response was awesome.

"Nobody cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.."
