A few days ago as I was floating through the blogosphere I ran into a very interesting blog written by a real estate investor who after spending $35,000 in real estate "education" tapes and courses had fallen into hard times after having acquired eight different properties in four different states in just eight months with no money down. The blog is called Iamfacingforeclosure.com so you can imply the outcome of that adventure.
Reading this kid's blog got me to thinking about how many times in real estate infomercials, they brag about how their students bought X many properties in X many months using none of their own money. Never in those infomercials do they talk about what happened after the acquisition.
The fact of the matter is acquisition alone is definitely not an achievement.
