How many times has this question been asked at your house: What do you want for supper? Followed by the spouse's response, well, I don't know, what do you want for supper? Followed by: It doesn't matter, what do you want? Then one of us makes a suggestion and the other, who who just said it doesn't matter, doesn't like the suggestion. This goes on for about twenty to thirty minutes, usually ends up with a grocery list and about an hour later something for supper.

One great idea I think is to have a planed menu for the week. I have a friend who follows this and will not change for anything. She also does a shopping list as to have everything on hand.

You can not change your mind if you want to make it work. Another way is to make several menu's and then just choose one.
