SOMEONE WILL BE HURTIN' TOMORROW!
I may not have liked the outcome of the SuperBowl- even though it was an exciting finish- BUT I really did enjoy the half time show.
Not everyones' "cup of tea"; I was in a large room of people who were split down the middle about the half time entertainment, but it I personally could not have imagined a more exciting and dangerous performance.
Bruce Springsteen was born in Freehold, New Jersey, on September 23, 1949. For the Math Challenged this means THE BOSS turns 60 later this year.
He started off with a climb on the grand piano. It was a three step process. Back in the good old days he would have leapt up with no problem, today in front of thousands of people at the stadium and millions world wide he could have easily broken a hip.
Bruce even launched into one of his trademark "across-the-stage" knee slides; He nailed the camera man with his groin and had a pained look on his face in the next shot. It might have taken a little out of him, judging by the tired note that crept into his voice when the band transitioned into "Born to Run."
Some fireworks that could have hurt his hearing :a quick spin of Bruce's guitar around his body could have resulted in some kind of other dislocation, and then -- over, already? Whew! It was a close one.
Not to shabby for an almost OAP.
