10 Comments on MY FIREPLACE "RE-DO" BEFORE AND AFTERS
Did you know they had the Kilz primer in a spray can . . . perfect for this type of rough project. It is a little more expensive, but worth it for some jobs!
Very nice Mary Lou! I recently took my brass fireplace screen off, and sprayed it black with heat resistant spray paint. I think though that if you paint yours, it might look nicer with a soft dark gray (not black), something similar to the color of the mat on the picture above the screen. Love the stark black and white pillows and padded seating area. Isn't it amazing what a difference a little bit of effort can make?
Looks sooooo much better. Nice work! Thanks for sharing.
Got some work to do on the fire place cover but since this is my own fireplace no big rush....thinking of spray painting it pewter..what do you think
Definitely paint the screen. Pewter is a great choice! Funny how we spend so little time on our own homes, isn't it :) Good for you.
I agree with you guys; pewter would be perfect!
YES I am going shopping for pewter spray paint this weekend...
Painting the fireplace was a good move and nicely done. I also agree with painting the screen.
Okay Mary Lou, we are all eagerly awaiting the outcome! More pictures please! (No pressure here :) Don't leave us hanging!
Well as you know when you are doing your own house some things just have to wait...I am going to spray the screen pewter...yes I gotta get around to it ..will shown photos when I finally get it done.
