Love Ikea! - I have to travel 1 1/2 hours to get to the nearest one around here.  With so many stores closing, nice to hear one opening.  Enjoy Marci!

Hi Marci,  You are so lucky to have an IKEA close to you!  My nearest IKEA is about an hour away.  I need to go there to purchase some curtain panels for my own house, but I've been putting off the drive.  IKEA has extra wide and long length panels that are difficult to find elsewhere.  Have fun shopping and getting some great ideas!

Hi Marci!  Ikea therapy!  When our store opened the traffic was backed for 13 miles!  It is like walking into a virtual catalog - what fun!  The commercial of "Start the car!  Start the car!" is hysterical!

Ikea is one of my best resources for staging props!  As others have said, take your time wear good, comfortable shoes - it can be a bit of a maze in there!

Hi Marce!

Long time, no speak.

I was only just "deflowered" recently while in Melbourne and visited IKEA for the first time. We don't have one here in Tasmania as yet but it certainly was a very interesting experience and for those wanting to develop their own inventory, a terrific way to get started.

I was talking to a relative of my recently who was involved in the construction of a number of IKEA stores and apparently with each new opening, a design team from Sweden has to inspect the store prior to opening to ensure consistency with their brand guidelines. Incredible.

I think my next trip back will involve a large order and a truck!

I'm so jealous! The closest one to me is in Chicago - 8 hours away!  When I lived in L.A., my entire apartment was furnished from IKEA. Gotta love it!

Kimberly: I will be going to it in a few days!  Gotta get some shoes to shop!

Adam:  Where have you been hiding?

Jennifer:  This one is 1.5 hrs away from me but from what I hear worth the trip!
