Gasoline and Housing stats - the wild ride of 2008

2008 was a wild and scary ride for most of us. And most of us spent a lot of time thinking and talking about the housing market and the burdensome cost of transportation. Now that we're done with our presidential election and one month into the new year, I thought it would be interesting to take a look back specifically at the stats for Gasoline and Housing for the beautiful city of Tacoma, WA.

Draw whatever conclusions you will from the data. I personally think the data raises more questions than answers. Is there a coorelation between these two graphs? Will lower gas prices boost confidence? Was the election a major influence on both?

For Gas info, I went to www.gasbuddy.com and created my own chart for Tacoma.

As for housing information for Tacoma, WA, I checked out Cyberhomes.com to find out what the overall trend was for prices and volume:

Thanks Marguerite! for the gas price chart, I created an account on gasbuddy.com and created my own chart for Tacoma. They give you code for embedding the graphs, etc in your site.

For the real estate info, I went to cyberhomes and just typed in Tacoma, WA in the search bar. Once the graphs are generated on Cyberhomes, you can save the graphs as pictures.
