Do you use home staging?? What's your opinion??

By
Home Stager with The Home Stagers Corporation

Hey everyone, just looking for some honest opinions on home staging. Do you use it? Do you not? That is definitely the question these days. I believe staged homes sell quicker but what's with all the controversy? It seems many realtors and homeowners are on the fence over this issue these days. So tell me what you think. I've compiled a list of 5 questions to get input from realtors on their views of home staging. Feel free to comment if you're not a realtor as well. Thanks for your time!!

1. Do you hand out any materials to your clients? If so what are they?

2. Would a comprehensive Home Staging Handout be of interest to you? If so, what would you be willing to pay for it? $2, $4, or $8?

3. Have any of your clients ever asked you about home staging? If so, what do they generally ask?

4. Do you introduce the idea of home staging to your clients or do you generally find it too awkward?

5. Would it be of value to you to offer your clients a home staging consultation as a gift? If so, what would be a fair price? $75, $150, or $300?

Thanks so much, and I really appreciate your input. I'm curious to see what everyone out there thinks of home staging.

Kyla,

I haven't used a professional home stager yet.  I had one come to our office meeting and do a presentation.  She offered plans and I believe her lowest was around $350.  My agents thought it was great and a couple were going to try and talk their sellers into using her.  Her staging handouts were free.  Good luck!
