Ahhhh...the home office has sure made working a whole lot easier. A nice sunny Kentucky day lured me outside to the deck overlooking the creek. It sure made listing 6 properties on two MLS systems a whole lot more enjoyable. Before the day was done each listing was on over 200 websites. Internet marketing at it's best!

While I am out here, I may as well get started on my newsletter. I send it out every Thursday to my clients. It will always have the latest listings and news about local events.

That' s a lot of work to be sitting at a desk at Prudential just wishing I could be outside. My desk over there might see me once a week at a Tuesday meeting or when I want to meet a new client. Don't get me wrong...I'm happy to have a desk there, but I spend 99% of my work time at a home office. A nice room that was a bedroom in a former life. All outfitted with the best equipment to get the job done. Nice paint, lights, drapes, couch, etc. When I am not there I am out showing property or meeting with clients. I wake up at 7A and before 7:30 I am at work without leaving the house. Now that is PRODUCTIVE!

Might as well enjoy this beautiful weather. Now with my new HP laptop, my office will go everywhere with me all day. Next on my list to buy is a 4 in one wireless printer/fax/scan/copier for the car.

There's always one more thing to buy! Ahhhhhh..wadda life huh? I must be crazy!!!!

Hey Lizette, I will have to agree on the beautiful morning.  I am up in Georgetown and the weather is perfect.  Hope you have a great Derby Day.  SC

Working out on the deck....now, that sounds nice, but my cell phone doesn't work at my home, so that's a problem.  I do work at home every morning starting around 6:30am, but then I always end up at the office, which has its benefits too.  I get energized being around other real estate professionals.  We bounce ideas off one another and it's a very supporitve place to be.  I'm fortunate to work around so many friendly, ethical people. But, again, that deck sounds very nice!!

Lizette, I can get more work done from home. At the office, the computers are slower and some sites that I need to get to are blocked. Now I need to get me a wireless laptop so I can enjoy the outdoors....

Great productivity! Even though we have an office, I find I can usually get more done from home. The hours are a lot longer, though!

Nice office Lizette,

I'm with you on the office thing. Hard to get much done when there is office chatter and the like going on and you're trying to concentrate. Looks like you've got a great setup at home. Just don't put up a hammock!

Working from home is great! It's so much quieter than being in an office full of people.  Anyway, if you need the office it's aways there.  Enjoy your home office everyone! Lissete

Lizette...

Blog Boy (Broker Bryant) and I also work from our home. As we own our company we choose not to have an office.

My desk is in my kitchen...In front of a bay window that over looks a private lake. To say it is inspiring would be an understatement :)

I hope all is going well with your mobile office.

Don't forget the power inverter AND the power strip with surge protector.

I use both as I carry:

Laptop (wireless, but haven't upgraded to the air card yet.  Too cheap)
Printer/fax/scanner/copier (not wireless.  Now you have me hankering for an upgrade!)
LBAR Suprakey (updated thru USB on laptop instead of phone line)
Camera Batter Charger
Continuos Radon Monitor
Battery powered screw driver
Cell phone charger

It's kind of nice to be able to do almost anything from almost anywhere, even the lake.

Sometimes though, I have to remind myself that I don't NEED to do everything from anywhere and just enjoy where I am.

Erby, you seem prepared for anything! When I finally got my Sprint air card I felt I had really invested into my laptop. It came in handy when I was out in the country with some clients and they pondered whether to buy a property because it was out too far out for DSL. I powered up my laptop plugged in the air card and voila...internet connection. They got the message...and made the deal.
