Did you see the Andy Griffith Show when Barney decided to become a real estate agent?  As I have been sitting here reading blogs, there have been several featured tonight talking about honesty.  Is honesty the best option?  Do I need to be honest about the price or tell the seller what they want to here?  Well, take time to watch Barney act as a real estate agent.  I believe there is a lesson for us as agents to learn in this episode.

Andy Griffith

Andy had to help Barney see the error of his ways by "not telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth".  Barney was not successful in his career as a real estate agent and it could be because "he didn't do until others as he would want done unto him".  If you ever have to ask "should I be honest", then that is your conscious telling you to be honest.  Listen to it and your business will boom!

We discussed integrity today in a coaching class. Knowing and adhering to one's principles is crucial to success. Bad news must be voiced, but it can be done using gentle language.

Cindy,

Great episode.  Opie had to teach his dad about honesty and integrity.  I guess you did not need a license to sell real estate in Mayberry.
