Are the DC Politicians above the Tax Code or the law in general?

We have all had to face the music of filing quarterly tax payments. Some have felt the long arm of the IRS **SMACK** them right upside the back of the head. Lately, all I hear about is all the people that are hyper earners in politics being able to somehow ignor the IRS. Penalty fees get waived. Was Leona Helmsley right when she said " taxes are for the little poeple" ?

I can not understand how Tim Geithner is able to be in charge of the IRS when a "little person" applying to be a receptionist for the Irs would be eliminated from eligibility for employment had the "little person" done the same thing.

Now that Tom Daschle has withdrawn his name does he get his 100k back from the IRS. I am sure the only reason he finally paid it was he wanted th cabinet spot.

You have the Illinois Gov. The Gov. from New Mexico, Richardson in a scandal.... You have to wonder

Is our Government representative of its people? Is it time to over throw the criminals setting the rules for which the "little people" have to live by...

This isn't partisan... I wonder on a quiz how many of our Esteemed leaders know what a gallon of milk costs?

They say "you get the Government you deserve" I am not sure who "they" is but apparently if this statement is true we peasants deserve the "royalty" the exists today.

Remember, the wealthy write the rules, when you know the rules you can play their game.  Get educated in their game.  I have.

Joseph,  I hear you.  I thought this was supposed to be the lnd of the free, but I don't think so.  They want to tax us like socialists but without the benifits of health care, retirement, etc.  Thanks again.  kevincavanaughonline.com

We the people keep electing these people. I voted for only 1 incumbent in Nov. (he favored the "fair tax" bill. So we get what we ask for, deserve it or not.
