Surprisingly when you hear about the crimes committed in the news you automatically begin to presume that crime is increasing. But if you look at the average of criminal activity reported by Toronto police in the last 30 years you will see that actually murders and other serious crimes are not increasing. Yes, some neighbourhoods are having increases in serious crimes but overall there hasn’t been any increase.
