O the life of a young realtor....

By
Real Estate Agent with David Ellis Real Estate

So am a very active person and like to do lots of things, and real estate is definately one of the things that I have a passion for.  However, I often times get discouraged from prospects that I interview with.  They may say something else but the fact of the matter is that they think I am too young to do a good job for them!  This is very frusttrating to me and is hard to deal with.  The best thing that I can say is that well yes i am younger, but that also means i have more energy to sell your house, and I dont have many listings right now so I will market your house with everything i have.  I also am younger but have been to more real estate school than the average agent.  And if there is anything that I dont know I will get you the answer within 24 hours.

Y is it that it is so hard to "get in the groove"  as a young realtor.  I am interested in talking with other young realtors that are successful.

Hang in there Austin,

Another thing to tell people is that your real estate company has a ton of experience that you can rely on if there is in fact a situation that you havent' seen.

Hi Austin,

A couple of suggestions:

#1. Take a serious photo. You are trying to counter the "too young" look.

#2. Emphasize your broker's experience.

#3. Wear glasses or dress conservatively to counter the "too young" look.

#4. Open houses is a great way to get started and meet potential clients.

Good luck.
