4 Comments on Burglar Proof Doors
Maria, great post---it is amazing how often dead-bolts are installed without the backer plates and the long screws. Might as well at least make the door as challenging as possible.
Thanks, Don!
My dad always said that locks are to keep honest people out. Dishonest people will find a way in. That was after a burglar got into our house by breaking the window on the front door and reaching in to unlock it. I'm a firm believer in keeping doors and windows locked when asleep, in the shower, or gone, but I also realize that if someone wants in, they probably are going to get in.
Your Dad is a wise man, Jim.
