Wild turkey whiskey and wild weather in Lawrenceburg Kentucky!

I know many of you wish you lived in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky where Wild Turkey Whiskey is distilled on a daily basis.  We have, not only a good whiskey, but some real interesting stories of when some have nipped too long on the wild drink.  I can't share all the stories in my blog, so come visit our quaint exciting town!

Have some of you been wondering if last weeks ice storm stalled the Wild Turkey production?  No need for alarm.  Our town made sure to keep the electric and water supply available to keep the Wild Turkey flowing!  Last report is that there is still plenty to go around.

I haven't partaken of this wild drink even though I was born and raised just a few miles from the distillery.  However, with this weather we are enduring I think a nip may be necessary! This crazy ice storm last week knocked out power for over seven hundred thousand people across our state.  The ice was so thick on the road that it was like riding across a camel's back.  Finally on Sunday, the ice melted and I thought life was back to normal, but luck was not in my favor.  I awoke this morning to another round of mother nature and another day of not being able to do my real estate job.  I thought this morning that it would be nice if I lived closer to that distillery because a drink may have made matters a little better!  Well, instead, I decided if I can't drink and I can't work in the snow and ice, I would just play in the rain.  Here I am again!

Cindy--glad that you came to play; went to College at the old Mt. St. Joseph on the hill, we were across from the Greater Cincinnati Airport in Kentucky,  Naturally, even if we could have found the
distillery, we would have been sent directly to Hell if we had tried to bring some back to our rooms.
We, here in Michigan, expect the snow and ice ( don't like it, but expect it) however remembering how everything shut down in the Delhi Hill area, I can only imagine what the snow plus ice caused. The pictures on Fox News channel were sad to see.  Hoping that you have a return to your weather soon.

I am not a big fan of whiskey in general. I did have a task of wild turkey lemon something that was smooth. (at least for a whiskey)

Cindy, Cute Blog, The snow and ice missed us in London, Ky. It snowed a little today but was gone by this afternoon.  As for the Wild Turkey, My husband uses it to cook with when he is cooking  venison. Have a great Week.

Down here on Lake Oconee, we whine when it gets cold or rains for two days running. Good luck to you. If I lived up there and had to deal with that weather I'm sure I'd be doing more than admiring the Wild Turkey. ;)
