Trulia Falls Out of SERPs in Google: What Happened?

This morning while performing my morning ritual "Googling" of "Miami Beach Real Estate", I noticed that Trulia, who has held the #1 spot for some time, was no where to be found.

A quick e-mail to my real estate web guy, Brad revealed that:

"It's not just Miami. Something has happened to Trulia. I was talking to another client about this on my morning call. Trulia has fallen out of tons of search results.

It's something specific to Google

Raleigh real estate - Google rank (not in top 100) - Yahoo rank #4

Houston real estate - Google rank (not in top 100) - Yahoo rank #4

Dallas real estate - Google rank (not in top 100) - Yahoo rank #5

Ann Arbor Real Estate - Google rank 159 - Yahoo rank #2

This is only a small example"

I'd love to hear what SEO experts believe and or attribute this to!

interesting... I have never paid much attention to where Truila ranks.

I only did because they were number one. It will be very interesting to see where and how and if this gets fixed.

How does Zillow do on a similar search? Have you been paying attention to their SERP too?

Zillow has never come up in any search result related to the formula of Miami/Miami Beach real estate.

Ooopppsss!...did someone at Trulia forget to pay the SEO bill?....

Interesting they are #3 on Yahoo for Manhattan real estate. I never noticed where they were on google, but they are not there now.

That is so interesting. I thought of Eric's post about Trulia cloaking when I saw your post Kevin.

Trulia is still performing well in the Northern Nevada area and my posts there are showing up in the first 1-2 pages of results.

Fine with me they are down for Ann Arbor Real Estate, and thanks to Brad for checking. I'll go read Eric's post.
