Lynn,
Thanks, it is not at Lake Powell. I often wonder if I was the first one to find an arch like this, could I come up with a good name for it. Could you?
Randy's Arch??? Better yet "Arco DeLaMare" - it rolls off the tongue nicely!
Lynn,
You are funny thanks for the suggestions. I guess the world around us people do want things named after themselves.
I don't know what I would name it...but is sure looks like a hand to me. The thumb sticking up on the left and I see knuckles on the right. This feels like some kind of psychological test.
Sharon,
Well it certainly isn't a psychological test but I can see your point. Strange looking I agree.
April,
I see it. I think that would be a good choice. Keep posted let's see if there are any other suggestions out there.
What a fantastic rock formation! I keep finding blog posts that make me so jealous. Florida is so flat. =(
Lisa,
Thanks for your comment, we have tons of great things to see here in Utah. We also have really cold temperatures in the winter time, with snow and wind. So while you are in flat Florida enjoy the warm balmy weather. Don't get me wrong I love it here but at times would give anything for your temperatures. Have a great day!
To All Who Commented thanks,
I belive the actual name of this arch is Turret Arch. It has been many years since I was there but I am pretty sure it is. I like the suggestions of OK Arch. Thanks again to all who commented. And I welcome any other comments.
