Oh Boy today I must have had way too much coffee! I am looking out the office window at the beautiful blue skies, the great ski conditions for x-country, the majestic mountains that surround us and the deep green of the pine needles against the white snow. It is enough to take anyone's' breath away.
I am so jazzed about all the possibilities life has to offer us! During these tough economic times, we Realtors may be struggling, and our clients may be struggling and turning to us for support. It can be a challenge to be an upbeat and happy professional that many are looking to for expertise.
Here are some ideas for combating the blues:
Research all the great free tools out there that are available for Realtors to help their business flourish. There is truly an arsenal of really great products. The cutting edge business model on the Internet buzz is offer whatever you are trying to sell for free! There are plenty of opportunities out there right now.
If you find your confidence wavering and negative self talk is creeping in like "oh that will never work" or "I will never be able to do that" Cancel-Cancel Replace-Replace. Instead say "I will try that Yes", or "Yes I can do that, I will take it step by step". Cancel-Cancel all negative thoughts and Replace-Replace with positive thinking. The glass is half full! Once you realize that you have a choice to choose positive thoughts over negative ones you will never go back to thinking in the negative.
As the Dali Lama taught us in The Pursuit of Happiness, look not for the things you do not have, but find the joy in all the great things you do have in your life. Spend a moment reflecting on all the great things you already have and be thankful.
Make the choice to always be happy. Do you want to spend even one second of your life here on Earth unhappy? Ask yourself, am I happy right now, if not then ask yourself what I can do to be happy right now. Perhaps turning on some Reggae music might brighten that task of adding up your mileage for taxes you are working on. Planning a great meal with friends or spending time outside doing something you enjoy may be just the ticket.
