I saw a moose on my way home yesterday, and it led to a post on my other blog.

Rather than post all the photos again, here is a link to it (and I hope that is ok on AR!)

If not, let me know, someone,  and I will delete this posting.

I'm really glad that you posted the photos.  The commentary was great too.  Like you, I love mountain living, but have yet to see a moose in the wild.  Last week, I spent several days in upper state Michigan and was hoping to have the good fortune.  What a wonderful thing to experience something so wild and free.

OK, I've lived in Colorado since the 80's and have never seen a wild moose here. But interesting enough there was a moose that kept getting into the Safeway in Pueblo West. They never caught it, it just wondered away.

You will need to go up to Rocky Mountain National Park one day as they are all over the place there.  I have been posting some photos on www.localism.com and I was surprised at how many animals I have photographed in my backyard.  I live in Silverthorne, although my office is in Frisco so that is where my profile says I am.  They are posted under Silverthorne, in Summit County.

Isn't there a lake or reservoir in Pueblo West?  Perhaps he just got lost....

Great Moose, it seems something similar as a mule :)

We saw quite a few moose last summer in Grand Lake and then into RNP.  My kids were in awe, as was I.
