Bosque Farms: Far Out? Not Really!

By

But Bosque Farms is sooooo far out, isn't it??! Not really! (At least, not unless you mean it in the old "John Denver" sense of "Far Out!"

We've lived in Bosque Farms for many years, and just love it. It's not uncommon, though, for other Albuquerque-area residents, or out-of-towners, to assume we Valencia County residents have a really long commute to get from our homes into the city.

They couldn't be more wrong! We can get to most of Albuquerque's sights, and sites, far more quickly than any of our friends who are trying to travel in from Rio Rancho, Corrales, or even the far Northeast Heights!

It takes us 17 minutes, on average, to get to the airport, and about 20 minutes to get downtown, to UNM, or to Presbyterian Hospital, for example. In 25 minutes, we can be at Journal Center,  all the way across the river to St. Pius, or shopping at Coronado Mall.

Check out the map and satellite image on Google Maps to see just how quick and easy it is to get from Bosque Farms in to the Albuquerque International Sunport, for instance.

This is because we have virtually no two-lane roads or traffic lights to deal with. It's a clear run up four-lane Highway 47 all the way to pick up I-25 right by Isleta Casino (which, by the way, is only about 12 minutes from our Bosque Farms home!). From there it's a straight Interstate run virtually all the way to all the places I mentioned.

So get out of the frustrating traffic jams commuting to the West Side, and the stop-and-start irritation Get out of the traffic jamof trying to get around in the Northeast Heights, and jump on the Bosque Farms bandwagon!
