They are laughing at America around the world.  This video of Nancy Pelosi have made its way around the world.  I found this video prominently displayed on an the United Kingdom UK news website "The Guardian" in a blog entitles "House speaker Nancy Pelosi predicts job losses for babies"  Nancy Pelosi was saying to a press conference if Congress and the legislators don't act quickly to pass the stimulus bill that "500 million Americans lose their jobs!"  The only problem with that is there are on 305,000,000 Americans.  When any person with a modicum of intelligence reads this story, it is clear that there are some that would prefer to pedal fear and not read what they are signing so they can achieve their own agenda at the expense of the American people.  Sometimes it is more interesting to see how our events in the USA are viewed by others around the world.  The word 'sobering' comes to mind. It is scary that even a not so skilled person as transparent as the Speaker of the House could sell anything they want to the gullible American public.  It is amazing how the press, and evening news does not report the most obvious of blunders of these public figures.  However they will tear apart those asking questions of them.

Good Grief- I had better tell my two year old that he is going to be on welfare next week because he is out of a job. Pretty crazy!

Excellent post Jim. The politicians and the media just love to keep adding fuel to fire by playing on the fears and hysteria of the current economic crisis. Yes things are bad. But instead of useless talk and meaningless gestures for the cameras, the politicians should be doing something for the average American. Instead they are pushing for more pork to help their lobbyist buddies, or fighting to stop the opposite party from doing anything constructive just because it is not their party that will take the credit for it.

Until we actually get the change that most Americans want, we will only continue to see the same old song and dance from the politicians. Americans wanted change. Maybe we just didn't get enough change in the past election but there will be another election that can and will bring about more change.

It is odd how they were membersof the previous Congress and even thosugh they all sat on committees, it is amazing how this all came up 6 weeks before elections.  Almost as if they conspired to play the fear card for their own gain even though they had the knowledge all last year, and probably the year before.  They all knew it was coming.  Most unpatriotic.

Hi Jim

Nancy Pelosi is completely out of touch with the real world, and we becoming the laughing stock around the world. Maybe it's time to have her recalled.

Good luck and success

Someone told me she said that many a month would lose their job. We have as you say 305 MIllion people. With that many people why don't we all just march to the capital andtar and feather everyone of em and run em out of town. We have to take this country back.

Lou Ludwig CRB, CRS, CIPS, GRI, SRES, TRC, e-PRO, (Ludwig & Associates)  She is from California.  I would love to hear what folks from her district think about her.  Her husband directly benefited from Federal money almost 100 million if I remember correctly to improve the waterfront in front of his hotel.  He got that as soon as Nancy dropped her opposition to Bush's choice for Attorney General.

What did that American hero Patrck Henry say  "Give me liberty or 1000 pounds sterling?"

Nestor & Katerina Gasset Realtors® Wellington Florida Luxury Homes (International Properties and Investments, Inc.)  What bothers me more is they are so cocky!  They said they did not need Republicans, and then they accuse them of partisan politics.

Jim, It is pathetic how little they truly know and understand. Shouldn’t our brightest and most accomplished people run this country? It is a tragedy! Richard

Hah!  Just as I type this Michael Savage is talking about her in my background.  He introduced the segment by calling her "the mad hatter".  I just about fell out of my chair!  This is just fodder for those observing the antics in Washington.  What next?

Karen Kruschka - Fairfax Prince William Stafford County VA Real Estate Service (Long & Foster America's #1 Privately Owned Real Estate Co.)  We are all wondering.  It is interesting how they seem to be gloating and upbeat about all the bad news.  In the past no one in congress or government office would ever talk down about the economy because our currency is backed by "Fiat" as opposed to gold or silver.  Words are very powerful.  Officials went out of their way to avoid statements that potentially could move the markets.  That does not seem to be the case with this congress.  Nothing is sacred, and I think they are speaking down the economy for their own gain.

There is Hope Jim, My prayer is that those uneducated voters who so enthusiastically voted for change will now become aware of exactly who and what they voted for. Just as Obama used the internet to reach so many we have the power to circumvent the mainstream media and get the truth out. Just as we use the internet to market ourselves we must stand up as American and speak out about what is really happening. The below video needs to be watched by all Americans. You will most likely not see any information from this hearing in the mainstream press. It is imperative that the apathy in this nation end now and Americans get educated on what is going on with their tax dollars. The time is NOW to speak out and speak loud. After you watch this video contact your Senators and let them know your opinion. Knowledge is power!! Use it to make a difference. http://www.c-spanarchives.org/library/index.php?main_page=product_video_info&products_id=283774-1&showVid=true

Jim - Please don't even get me started about Miss Nancy...  No wonder I turn the channel whenever I see her face.  I'm so tired of these fear mongers - they should be ashamed of themselves, trying to create hysteria?  Aren't we smarted than that?

Debbie Summers - MoveToLakeMary.com or 407-758-1020 (RE/MAX Central - Florida)  I think they did their job well.  Americans don't seem to want to look up any facts.  I cannod stand to see most politicians and turn channels as soon as they come on.
