I grew up in Seattle as a child, as did both of my parents. I was accustomed to the life and I liked it. Working for Boeing my Mom saw her share of lay offs, and one time she finally decided that the game was over. She found work about an hour and a half away in Mason County.
It was a shocking contrast to what I had been used to.I knew that the city life was for me, and one day I would return, and I did. It was just the same as I had remembered, but now it was tainted. It was still busy with lots of shopping, people, and traffic, but the romance was gone. I found myself wanting what I had taken for granted all of those years...the beauty, and simple life of Mason County.
Mason County is a place where you can drive strait to where you want to go. Deer take naps in your back yard, Sunsets are as unforgettable as the sunrises. The air is sweet. Everyday leaves you with the night where the stars compete to out shine one another. I love it here, and the funny thing is I am not alone. Many people that we grew up with in Seattle or my mom worked with, live here now too. I can understand...why would you live anywhere else if you could live here?
