Bloom Where you are Planted!

You know, everyone always wants what they don't have.  When I heard the
phrase several years ago from Joel Osteen - "Bloom Where You Are Planted"
I had to think about that.  Then it hit me.  Don't try to look for happiness, joy,
success or new adventures somewhere else.  Be the BEST right where you are.
So now when I drive down the road and there is a detour, I always think to
myself, well, God must have a plan for me to go through this route, or there
is a reason why I'm sent through here.  The other day I had to list a property
on a Sunday afternoon so I stopped to fill up with gas and bought a scratch
off ticket at a gas station near on the way back from taking the listing.  Well,
I scratched the $10 ticket and won $600.  I guess I was meant to be at that
listing on that Sunday afternoon.  I just had to smile and say, "YES" it was
meant for me to be right here at this time.

Don't go through life wishing to be somewhere else or with someone else!
BLOOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED and you'll find that God has plans for
you right where you are.  Trust me, this will change your life - it's all in how
we look at things.  Be positive and Be Happy!  Have a wonderful week!
Sincerely,  Dagmar Sands

Dagmar, one of my favorite sayings is "It's not always greener on the other side of the fence"  I am a person who believes it most likely isn't greener, not once you get there... so work on making your side of the fence greener...

Joanne, yes, that is also very true and very similar.  We have all tried to see the
greener side but all we have to do is look closely at where we are.  Thank you so
much for yoru comment.  Dagmar

I love that saying. Its a nice alternative to the "greass is not always greener on the other side of the fence". So many of us are not content, we look for greener pastures and dont realize how green our pasture really is.

My addition to the "grass is greener" saying goes like... "The grass may seem greener on the other side of the fence, but it is often much harder to chew."

Dagmar:  I must admit that I like Joel Osteen, and watch him occasionally.  The phrase "Bloom Where You're Planted" was often used on many of the posters and mugs drawn by the fabulous Mary Engelbreit over the past many years.  Are you familiar with her work.  Google her if you are not.

Know too that it usually takes someone from "outside the garden" to recognize the beauty of the flowers....ie you are often not a hero in your own hometown which explains some coaches successes in geographic areas other than their own.

A new office, a new client, a new spouse - if you haven't learned to bloom, you're condemned to keep repeating the dead weeds.
