Here we go again.
How many of us provide services other than real estate brokerage? Is this a good idea?
Well, I think so. Our firm offers general brokerage sales services, property management, auction services, appraisal, court house services, fiduciary and consulting. We represent buyers and sellers. Mostly sellers, though.
The wave of the future as far as I can see it is to offer multiple opportunites for our clients to call us.
Not every client needs us for just listings or auctions. Be a resource, I say. Don't charge for everything, I say.
The client that sees you as a resource for advice is more likely to call you for all of their needs and will allow you to guide them to the best solution.
Don't do everything, but know a little about a lot. Build a stable of professionals around the US in multiple fields. Join your professional associations. Make friends that can support you and support them back.
Don't worry about sticking with your franchise. Have the best people available in your sphere of influence.
Realize that the best people may not give you the best referral fee or may not give one at all.
Be the best in your area and in your specialty.
Specialize.
The money will come.
