"If you could live in any state in the country, except the state you live in now, what state would you choose to live in?"  

This question was asked by Harris Interactive^® as they conducted a nationwide survey of 2,694 adults conducted online between August 7 and 13, 2007.  The result of this survey is known as the The Harris Poll^®   Florida, ranking in the top 5, is one of the most popular places people would choose to live.

Why is that? I know why I choose to live and work in St. Augustine Florida.  St. Augustine offers:

Beautiful Beaches - St. Augustine and St. Johns County features forty-two miles of expansive beaches.  It's a natural playground for most every water enthusiast. Boating, surfing, fishing and jet-skiing are popular pastimes in St. Augustine.

Fabulous weather - You can count on St. Augustine weather to be near perfect year round. Because of its coastal location, St. Augustine experiences temperatures that are higher in the winters and cooler in the summers.

Friendly business climate - St. Augustine in St. Johns County offers the lowest property tax and sales tax rates in the region.  Local economic development incentives, together with our expedited permitting, and outstanding community services, help to make companies prosper.

No state income tax - Keep more of your money...Florida is one of the few states in the country that does not have a state income tax. In fact, the Florida Constitution explicitly prohibits a personal income tax.

It's no wonder that St. Augustine's combination of temperate climate, outstanding recreational amenities and economic opportunity is an attractive draw to those relocating to the south.
