Senate passed an increase on the homebuyers tax break.  This is not a law yet and is part of the stimulus plan that is being revised every day.   The proposal would allow a tax credit of 10 percent of the value of new or existing residences, up to a $15,000 limit.  Current law provides for a $7,500 tax break for the purchase of new homes only.

This is great news for home-buyers across our nation and residents in our valley looking to purchase a   "Bank owned home in Temecula", or Murrieta or anywhere in Riverside County,  where home prices are at record lows.

Democrats readily agreed to the proposal, although it may be changed or even deleted as the stimulus measure makes its way through Congress over the next 10 days or so.

I will post a blog later on more of the specific rules.

If you need information on any home you see in the Temecula or Murrieta areas or anywhere in Riverside County, or are interested in finding "Bank owned homes in Temeucla" or Murrieta , or Bank Owned homes anywhere in Riverside County please call us for a free list of homes based on your particular needs and search criteria.

I too heard this on the news yesterday. This is one of the better parts of the stimulus plan and needs to go into effect for sure. It is good for all home buyers.

Trey,  I hope it will, I was reading an article just now that it may take up to a year because of all of the changes that both Congress and the Senate want to make in the "Stimulus" plan in general.  But at least we have the $7500.00 that I linked to above (unitl June 30th).

Hey Jane...  this is Ramel...  send me all your money, and you won't need a tax break...   LOL

So doyou really think Congress is gonna pass an easy, simple, straightforward, beneficial $15K tax break for us?  I sure hope so, but I don't think I'll start holding my breath just yet.  I'll wait till you gve me the 'thumbs up' sign!   ;-)

If we got rid of some of the more outragious spending we could easily give everyone this tax benefit :)

Thanks for keeping us all updated I did not know this was included as part of this bill but hopefully it does go through.

This will be very great especially if they bring back the seller assisted down payment which is also included.
