Your days on market is under six months, which isn't too bad though it can seem like a long time.  Are homes that are priced aggressively moving any better?

Excellent and consistently delivered reports for the consumers, Bill. I find looking at the dramatic price drops in a year's time pretty incredible. Even though thay've been dropping everywhere, it makes a different impact to read the actual data.

Christine - The homes that are priced well are always the ones that sell. Most of the tim if the home is priced where it should be it will sell in under 90 days.

Cindy - I do my Mendon market report every month. I cover about 12 towns in my area of Metrowest Mass.

Mara - There is no doubt the markets have changed over the last 4 years. Homes that are priced properly are still moving. It is a great time to move up in the market.

Bll - well folks in the Mendon real estate market should have no question in their mind as to who the local expert is. Seems like similar trends with regard to prices, inventory and sales as we are seeing in many areas at the moment.

These numbers look very familiar to what the market is doing nationally. It would be fantastic if more agents took the time to report market statistics for the consumer to see. Clearly spelled out in their town is a reality check for what the market is doing. Detailing exactly what makes up the numbers, single family homes..., leaves no room for guesswork.

A little observation - at the very beginning, you talk about December 2008 versus December 2009 and the numbers are all in the December 2009 line ;)

Jeff - With 23 years invested in covering Mendon and other Metrowest towns it doesn't hurt. There are many Realtors who have never even seen a down market before and don't know how to function.
